Frequently asked questions

What is the recommended tubing size for connecting the column?

A 1/16 in stainless steel tubing is recommended, with 0.010 in id for analytical work and 0.020 in id for preparative work.

Can the columns be used with 100% aqueous eluents?

No, you should never use 100% aqueous eluents as it may reduce column performance when reintroducing organic modifier.

How should the column be stored to prevent drying?

The end plugs must be replaced to prevent the column from drying out, which would disrupt the packed bed.
