About this manual

The Agilent ZORBAX Rapid Resolution High Definition (RRHD) threaded columns are designed specifically for use with ultra-high performance liquid chromatographs (UHPLCs). The Bonus-RP variant features a unique combination of densely reacted, sterically protected diisopropyl-C14 groups covalently bonded through an embedded amide functionality to an ultra-pure ZORBAX Rx-SIL silica support. This design reduces strong interactions of basic and other highly polar compounds.

Frequently asked questions

What instruments are these columns designed for?

They are specially designed for use with ultra-high performance liquid chromatographs (UHPLCs) such as the Agilent 1290 Infinity LC.

What is the primary benefit of the Bonus-RP stationary phase?

It is designed to reduce or eliminate strong interactions of basic and other highly polar compounds.

Are these columns compatible with phosphate buffers?

No, column stability at pH > 6 is enhanced by avoiding phosphate and carbonate buffers.
