COP87L88KG 8-bit OTP microcontroller with UART and Three Multi-Function Timers
The COP87L88KG is an 8-bit One-Time Programmable (OTP) microcontroller from National Semiconductor's COP8™ feature family. It utilizes an 8-bit core architecture and is pin and software compatible with the mask ROM COP888KG. The device is fabricated using double-metal silicon gate microCMOS technology and operates as a fully static part.
Key features include a full duplex UART, three 16-bit timers supporting PWM, external event counting, and input capture modes, and two analog comparators. The microcontroller offers 24 kbytes of on-board OTP EPROM and 1088 bytes of RAM. It supports two power-saving modes (HALT and IDLE) and operates on a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V.
