About this manual

The MIDIMAN Merge 2x2 is a MIDI merger designed to combine any two incoming MIDI signals and send them to either one or two MIDI devices. It can also function as a 1-in/8-out MIDI thru box, useful for routing multiple instruments to the same destination.

The device draws power directly from the MIDI Out of an instrument connected to its MIDI In port, requiring no external power supply. However, it takes approximately 2 to 3 seconds to power up after active MIDI is connected. The unit features a built-in 'panic button' that sends all notes off messages and zeros MIDI controllers and pitch wheels by cycling the power or disconnecting/reconnecting cables.
