This document describes the features and benefits of the Agilent BenchCel Workstations Automated Barcode Labeling Workstation Application Bulletin. The workstation offers high-speed plate transfers and labeling, scalability to integrate additional devices, and storage options for up to 320 microplates.
The Agilent BenchCel Automated Barcode Labeling Workstation is designed to rapidly print and apply barcode labels to microplates with walk-away convenience. The system integrates an Agilent BenchCel Microplate Handler with an Agilent Microplate Barcode Labeler to create flexible benchtop automation solutions. An optional barcode reader can be added to verify applied barcodes, log activity, or clone barcodes.
The workstation features high-speed processing, capable of transferring plates in approximately eight seconds and labeling them in three seconds. It supports scalable storage options with 2, 4, or 6 stacks, handling up to 320 standard microplates. The system utilizes a thermal transfer printer with 400 dpi resolution to print labels on any or all four sides of ANSI compliant microplates.
