About this manual

The PSD5XX family is a single-chip programmable peripheral designed to integrate high-performance blocks of EPROM, programmable logic, and SRAM into one part. It eliminates the need for external glue logic by providing a user-programmable interface to various 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers with multiplexed or non-multiplexed buses.

The device includes three Zero-power PLDs (ZPLDs): a Decode PLD (DPLD), a General-purpose PLD (GPLD), and a Peripheral PLD (PPLD). It features up to 1 Mbit of UV EPROM, an optional 16 Kbit SRAM with battery backup, four 16-bit Counter/Timers, and an eight-level priority encoded Interrupt Controller. The architecture supports power management units for standby and sleep modes.
