This document introduces how to detect synthetic cannabinoids in oral fluid
This document details a method for detecting specific synthetic cannabinoid compounds, known as 'Spice' components, in oral fluid specimens. The study utilizes the Quantisal device for non-invasive sample collection and analyzes the specimens using Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
The analytical method employs an Agilent 1200 Series liquid chromatography pump coupled with an Agilent 6430 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System. The procedure involves solid-phase extraction using Agilent Bond Elut Plexa cartridges followed by analysis via electrospray ionization (ESI) in positive or negative polarity modes. The note provides specific parameters for mobile phases, column conditions, and multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) transitions for various analytes including JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, JWH-250, HU-210, and CP-47,497.
| Limit of Quantitation (LOQ) for JWH-018, JWH-073, JWH-200, CP 47497 | 0.5 ng/mL |
|---|---|
| Limit of Quantitation (LOQ) for CP 47497 C8 and JWH-250 | 2 ng/mL |
| Column dimensions | 2.1 x 50 mm, 1.8 um |
