The TS68HC901 is an HCMOS Multi-Function Peripheral (CMFP) designed for microprocessor systems. It combines necessary peripheral functions to reduce chip count and system cost, including programmable I/O pins, a 16-source interrupt controller, four timers with individually programmable prescaling, and a single-channel USART.
The device is completely 68000 bus compatible and features 24 directly addressable internal registers. It supports both vectored and polled interrupt schemes and includes handshake lines to facilitate DMA interfacing.
The TS68HC901 supports an asynchronous baud rate of up to 65 kbps.
