This document describes the technical data and features of the 6-34 23 GHz Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), including frequency range, low noise temperature, high gain, input/output matching, etc.
The HMMC-5023 is a high-gain, low-noise amplifier (LNA) designed for digital radio communication systems operating in the 21.2 GHz to 26.5 GHz frequency bands. Fabricated using a PHEMT integrated circuit structure, it offers a cost-effective alternative to hybrid assemblies by eliminating complex tuning processes while providing unconditional stability up to over 40 GHz.
The device features two specified frequency ranges: 21.2-23.6 GHz and 24.5-26.5 GHz. It delivers a typical gain of 24 dB with a low noise temperature of 226 K (2.5 dBN.F.). The MMIC includes four cascaded gain stages, with the backside serving as both RF and DC ground to simplify assembly and reduce costs.
| Frequency Range (Specified) | 21.2-23.6 GHz and 24.5-26.5 GHz |
|---|---|
| Low Noise Temperature (Typical) | 226 K (2.5 dBN.F.) |
| High Gain (Typical) | 24 dB |
| Input/Output Matching | 50 Ohms |
| Chip Size | 2980x620 pm (74x 24.4 mils) |
| Supply Voltage | 5 volts (@ 24 mA Typical) |
| Operating Channel Temperature (Max) | +150 °C |
The typical high gain for the device is 24 dB.
The recommended method is using a fluxless gold-tin (AuSn) solder preform.
