About this manual

The DAC-08 series is an 8‑bit monolithic multiplying digital‑to‑analog converter offering very high‑speed performance (70 ns settling) with low power consumption (37 mW at +5 V) and a wide supply voltage range (+4.5 V to +18 V). It provides full‑scale current prematched to ±1 LSB, true and complemented outputs, and high output compliance from –10 V to +18 V.

Typical applications include 8‑bit A‑to‑D converters, servo‑motor drivers, waveform generators, audio encoders, programmable power supplies and CRT display drivers. Ordering codes are listed for DIP, SO and plastic packages (e.g., DAC‑08CN, DAC‑08EN, DAC‑08ED, DAC‑08HN).
