About this manual

The M27W512 is a 512 Kbit (64K × 8) low‑voltage EPROM offered in UV (ultraviolet erase) and OTP (one‑time programmable) versions. It operates with a supply voltage of 2.7 V to 3.6 V in read mode and provides access times of 70 ns (3.0‑3.6 V) or 80 ns (2.7‑3.6 V). Standby current is limited to 15 µA and active current to 15 mA at 5 MHz, while programming each byte takes 100 µs.

The device is available in FDIP28W, PDIP28, PLCC32 and TSOP28 packages, all also offered in lead‑free versions. It features 2000 V ESD protection, 200 mA latch‑up immunity, and an electronic signature for manufacturer and device identification. Programming can be performed with the PRESTO II algorithm, and erasure for UV EPROMs requires exposure to short‑wave UV light.
