This document introduces the features of AS690A / AS692A / AS802L / AS802M / AS805L chips, including reset control, watchdog monitoring, battery backup switch and power failure monitoring.
The ASM690A/ASM692A/ASM802L/ASM802M/ASM805L family provides single‑chip power‑supply supervision with reset control, watchdog monitoring, battery‑backup switching, and power‑failure detection for microprocessor systems. Each device monitors voltage thresholds (4.65 V or 4.40 V) and can switch a backup supply to RAM during brown‑out conditions.
Key specifications include a 1.6 s watchdog timer, 1.25 V power‑fail detection threshold, and support for battery or super‑capacitor backup. The devices are offered in an 8‑pin SO, plastic DIP, or ceramic DIP package and operate over a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C (E‑devices). Ordering information, pin‑out tables, and application circuits are provided for system designers.
| Reset Threshold (V) | 4.65 V (ASM690A/ASM802L/ASM805L) / 4.40 V (ASM692A/ASM802M) |
|---|---|
| Watchdog Timer Timeout | 1.6 seconds |
| Operating Temperature Range (E‑devices) | -40 °C to +85 °C |
The watchdog timer times out after 1.6 seconds if the WDI pin is held high or low.
ASM690A uses a 4.65 V reset threshold, while ASM692A uses a 4.40 V threshold.
The maximum battery voltage for the ASM805L is 4.80 V.
