The SY100EL1003 is a high-speed current source used to drive a semiconductor laser diode in optical transmission applications. It operates at up to 1.25Gbps and has a peak drive current of 75mA. The device has differential inputs for data, separate modulation control and output enable pins for laser safety. It operates with a single power supply and is available in a 16-pin SOIC package.
