The TPS2375/77 is TI’s second generation IEEE 802.3af PoE powered device controller with 100-V ratings and a 0.58-Ω low-side switch. It integrates all the necessary features to develop a compliant powered device (PD).
The TPS2375 family of PoE controller ICs supports IEEE 802.3af powered‑device functionality, including detection, classification, undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and programmable inrush current limiting. The devices are offered in 8‑pin SOIC and TSSOP packages and are intended for VoIP phones, WLAN access points, security cameras, POS terminals and other Ethernet‑powered equipment.
The datasheet details electrical characteristics, recommended operating conditions, pin descriptions, mechanical dimensions and typical application circuits. It also explains how to program the inrush current limit (ILIM pin) and the classification level (CLASS pin) using external resistors, and provides absolute‑maximum ratings and thermal‑shutdown specifications.
