About this manual

The ILC7080/81 series provides low‑dropout voltage regulation for portable wireless devices. Available in fixed‑voltage versions (2.5 V‑5.0 V) and an adjustable version (ILC7081), the regulators deliver 50 mA or 100 mA output current with ultra‑low quiescent current and excellent noise performance.

The datasheet includes pin assignments, absolute maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, shutdown operation, protection features, layout guidelines and ordering information to help designers integrate the LDO into compact SOT‑23‑5 packages.

Frequently asked questions

How do you shut down the regulator?

Apply 0.4 V or less to the ON/OFF pin (pin 3) to turn the device off; applying 2 V enables it.

What is the typical dropout voltage at 1 mA load?

Typical dropout is about 0.1 mV per milliamp of load current.
