This is a multimeter that includes DC voltage, AC voltage, current, resistance, frequency and other measurement functions. It uses high precision measurement technology and can provide accurate measurement results.
This manual explains how to safely unpack, inspect, and operate the Tenma UT-204 True‑RMS clamp meter. It includes safety information, rules for safe operation, and detailed descriptions of the meter’s structure, rotary switch positions, functional buttons, and display symbols.
The guide covers measurement procedures for AC/DC voltage, current, resistance, diode and continuity testing, as well as frequency and duty‑cycle measurements. It also provides specifications, accuracy data, battery replacement instructions, and general maintenance advice.
| DC Voltage Range | 400 mV – 600 V |
|---|---|
| AC Voltage Range | 4 V – 600 V |
| AC Current Range (40 A) | 40.00 A, resolution 0.01 A, accuracy 4+(2.5%+8), 50‑60 Hz |
| DC/AC Current Range (400 A) | 400.0 A, resolution 0.1 A, accuracy 4+(2.5%+5) |
| Battery Type | 9 V (NEDA1604, 6F22 or OO6P) |
Read the Safety Information and Rules for Safe Operation carefully to avoid electric shock or personal injury.
Turn the meter off, remove all connections, open the case, take out the old 9 V battery and replace it with a new NEDA1604/6F22/OO6P battery, then re‑assemble the case.
The meter can measure AC voltage from 4 V up to 600 V.
Select the continuity mode, connect the test leads, and listen for the buzzer which sounds when resistance is below 500 Ω.
