This document is a user manual for a digital multimeter, which introduces the product's usage methods and safety precautions.
This manual covers the Tenma UT60C digital multimeter, describing its safety information, unpacking inspection, and the meter's structure and controls. It explains how to select measurement ranges, operate the device for voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle, temperature, and diode tests, and provides the meaning of display symbols.
The document also includes general specifications, accuracy tables, and detailed maintenance procedures such as battery replacement, fuse replacement, and service warnings. Safety rules and proper handling of test leads are emphasized throughout.
| DC voltage measurement range | 400 mV – 1000 V |
|---|---|
| AC voltage measurement range | 4 V – 750 V |
| Resistance measurement range | 400 Ω – 40 MΩ |
| Capacitance measurement range | 40 nF – 100 µF |
| Frequency measurement range | 10 Hz – 10 MHz |
| Temperature measurement range | -40 °C – 1000 °C |
| Battery type | 9 V (NEDA1604, 6F22 or O06P) |
| Fuse 1 | 0.5 A, 250 V, fast type, 5 × 20 mm |
| Fuse 2 | 10 A, 250 V, fast type, 5 × 20 mm |
Turn the meter off, remove the screw from the battery compartment, take out the old 9 V battery and install a new 9 V battery (NEDA1604, 6F22 or O06P), then re‑assemble the case.
The meter uses two glass fuses: Fuse 1 is 0.5 A / 250 V fast type (5 × 20 mm) and Fuse 2 is 10 A / 250 V fast type (5 × 20 mm).
Disconnect power from the circuit, discharge any high‑voltage capacitors, and ensure the test leads are not damaged before connecting them to the meter.
The meter can measure DC voltage from 400 mV up to 1000 V.
