The NCP1526 is a high-efficiency step-down converter with a 3 MHz switching frequency and a maximum output current of 400 mA. The device uses synchronous rectification technology to improve efficiency and eliminate external Schottky diodes. The device also includes a 3.0 MHz (nominal) oscillator that reduces component size by allowing the use of small inductors (down to 1 mH) and capacitors. Other features include integrated soft-start, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection. The integrated ultra-low noise, low dropout regulator has 150 mA current capability, current limiting, and temperature limit protection. The NCP1526 is available in a space-saving, ultra-low profile 3x3 mm, 10-pin UDFN package (maximum thickness 0.55 mm).
