The MAX15000 and MAX15001 are current‑mode PWM controllers designed for wide‑input‑voltage power‑supply applications. The MAX15000 handles universal input (rectified 85 VAC to 265 VAC) or telecom ranges (‑36 VDC to ‑72 VDC), while the MAX15001 is intended for low‑input‑voltage supplies (9.5 VDC to 24 VDC). They include an internal error amplifier, programmable UVLO, and a cycle‑by‑cycle current‑limit feature.
Key features include programmable switching frequency up to 625 kHz, selectable maximum duty‑cycle limits (50 % or 75 %), internal bootstrap UVLO with large hysteresis for the MAX15000, and an open‑drain UVLO flag output for sequencing secondary controllers. The devices are supplied in 10‑pin µMAX packages and operate over a –40 °C to +85 °C temperature range.

| Input voltage range (MAX15001) | 9.5 V to 24 V |
| Maximum switching frequency | Up to 625 kHz |
| Maximum duty‑cycle limit (MAX15000A / MAX15001A) | 50 % |
| Maximum duty‑cycle limit (MAX15000B / MAX15001B) | 75 % |
| Operating temperature range | -40 °C to +85 °C |
| Startup supply current (typical) | 50 µA |

The MAX15000 accepts a universal offline input voltage ranging from rectified 85 VAC to 265 VAC.
The MAX15000A version limits the maximum duty‑cycle to 50 %.
Both the MAX15000 and MAX15001 can be programmed for switching frequencies up to 625 kHz.
