The CY8CLED16 EZ-Color™ HB LED Controller is a powerful LED controller that features configurable dimmers, supports up to 16 independent LED channels, and has 8-32 bits of resolution per channel. It also supports dynamic reconfiguration, which allows the LED controller to perform other functions, such as battery charging and motor control.
The CY8CLED16 EZ-Color HB LED Controller from Cypress integrates a Harvard‑architecture M8C processor (up to 24 MHz) with programmable analog and digital blocks. It supports up to 16 independent LED channels, each with 8‑32 bit resolution, and provides features such as PrISM modulation, battery‑charging, motor control and temperature‑compensated binning.
The device includes 32 KB Flash, 2 KB SRAM, up to eight analog inputs, 25 mA sink capability on all GPIO pins, and a switch‑mode pump that allows operation down to 1.0 V. Development is supported by PSoC Express, free design tools, in‑circuit emulators and a full suite of software resources.
