This datasheet is about the product information of BTS 780. BTS 780 is a quad switch driver, free configurable as bridge or quad-switch. It is optimized for DC motor management applications, with ultra low RDS ON@25 °C: High-side switch typical 35 mΩ, Low-side switch typical 15 mΩ.
The BTS 780 is a TrilithIC quad‑switch driver that integrates one high‑side switch and two low‑side switches in a single TO‑263‑15‑1 package. It offers configurable bridge or quad‑switch modes, ultra‑low on‑resistance, high peak current capability, and a range of diagnostic status flags.
The device includes CMOS‑compatible inputs, internal clamp diodes, isolated current‑sense sources, and built‑in over‑ and under‑voltage as well as over‑temperature protection with hysteresis. Pin definitions, truth tables, and protection circuits are documented for automotive and industrial applications.
| Maximum operating voltage | 40 V |
|---|---|
| High‑side switch typical Rds(on) at 25 °C | 35 mΩ |
| Low‑side switch typical Rds(on) at 25 °C | 15 mΩ |
| Status flag bits | 2‑bit diagnosis |
| Over‑temperature protection | Hysteresis‑controlled shutdown |
The device operates up to 40 V.
It includes an over‑temperature protection circuit with hysteresis that shuts off the output transistors and sets the status output low.
Pin 5 (GH1) is the gate of high‑side switch 1.
