About this manual

The AD835 from Analog Devices is a monolithic four‑quadrant voltage‑output analog multiplier fabricated on a dielectrically isolated complementary bipolar process. It provides a linear product of its X and Y inputs with a –3 dB bandwidth of 250 MHz and a typical settling time of 20 ns to 0.1 % of full scale.

The device is available in 8‑lead PDIP (N) and 8‑lead SOIC (R) packages, operates from a +5 V supply over a –40 °C to +85 °C temperature range, and offers low multiplier noise (50 nV/√Hz) and high differential input impedance. Typical applications include wideband voltage‑controlled amplifiers, amplitude modulators, frequency doublers, and square‑law detection.
