About this manual

The AD8042 is a dual 160 MHz rail‑to‑rail voltage‑feedback amplifier designed for single‑supply operation at +3 V, +5 V or +5 V. It delivers low distortion, fast settling (39 ns to 0.1 %) and high slew rate, making it suitable for video switchers, professional cameras, CCD imaging systems and high‑speed ADC buffering.

Available in 8‑lead PDIP (N) and 8‑lead SOIC_N (R) packages, the device operates from 3 V to 12 V, draws about 5.5 mA per amplifier, and can source 50 mA (up to 90 mA short‑circuit) while maintaining output swings within 30 mV of each rail.
