The CP 04AN28 supplementary capacitor is an AC capacitor designed for the single correction of the power factor of transformers and magnetic ballasts in discharge light sources such as fluorescent lamps, halogen and ceramic metal halide lamps, high-pressure mercury lamps and sodium lamps, with mains line frequencies of 50 or 60Hz. This achieves a boost in the power factor of the light source with a cosμ in excess of 0.85.
