The CP 32ET28 supplementary capacitor is an AC capacitor designed to individually correct the power factor of transformers and magnetic ballasts within discharge lamps (such as fluorescent lamps, halogen and ceramic metal halide lamps, high pressure mercury lamps and sodium lamps) where the mains frequency is 50 or 60Hz. This provides an improvement in the power factor of the luminaire, cosφ exceeding 0.85.
