This document introduces the DS75LX digital thermometer and thermostat. The product works with a voltage range of 1.7V to 3.7V, provides 9, 10, 11 or 12-bit digital temperature readings, measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±2°C, and works within a temperature range of -25°C to +100°C.

The MAX6625/MAX6626 combine a temperature sensor, a programmable overtemperature alarm, and an I2C- compatible serial interface into single compact packages. They convert their die temperatures into digital values using internal analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The result of the conversion is held in a temperature register, readable at any time through the serial interface. A dedi- cated alarm output, OT, activates if the conversion result exceeds the value programmed in the high-temperature register. A programmable fault queue sets the number of faults that must occur before the alarm activates, prevent- ing spurious alarms in noisy environments. OT has pro- grammable output polarity and operating modes. The MAX6625/MAX6626 feature a shutdown mode that saves power by turning off everything but the power-on reset and the I2C-compatible interface. Four separate addresses can be configured with the ADD pin, allowing up to four MAX6625/MAX6626 devices to be placed on the same bus. The MAX6625P/MAX6626P OT outputs are open drain, and the MAX6625R/MAX6626R OT outputs include internal pullup resistors. The MAX6625 has a 9-bit internal ADC and can function as a replacement for the LM75 in most applications. The MAX6626 has a 12-bit internal ADC. Both devices come in the space-saving 6-pin SOT23 package, or the 6-pin TDFN package.

The DS1722 is a digital thermometer with an SPI/3-wire interface. It can measure temperatures from -55°C to +120°C with an accuracy of ±2.0°C and a resolution configurable from 8 to 12 bits (1.0°C to 0.0625°C). Temperature readings can be obtained through a Motorola SPI interface or a standard 3-wire serial interface.

MAX6607/MAX6608 are low-voltage, precision, analog output temperature sensors from Maxim in 5-pin SC70 and SOT23 packages. The devices have a +1.8V to +3.6V supply voltage range and 8µA supply current over the -20°C to +85°C temperature range. Accuracy is ±0.6°C (typ) from TA = +20°C to +50°C and is ±0.7°C (typ) from TA = 0°C to +70°C. The MAX6607/MAX6608 output voltage depends on its die temperature and has a slope of 10mV/°C and an offset of 500mV at 0°C.

The MAX6613 is a low-power precision analog output temperature sensor in a tiny 5-pin SC70 package. It operates over a 1.8V to 5.5V supply voltage range, with a typical current consumption of only 7.5µA. It is particularly well suited for portable applications where minimizing battery cost and maximizing useful battery life are crucial. The MAX6613 provides an analog voltage output proportional to temperature. Accuracy is ±4.0°C (max) over a range of TA = 0°C to +50°C and ±4.4°C (max) from TA = -20°C to +80°C. Self-heating effects are negligible due to the low current consumption of the part. Unlike many analog temperature sensors, the MAX6613 is stable with any capacitive load from 0pF to 1000pF, providing broad flexibility in board-level design. The operating temperature range varies with the voltage supply. The MAX6613 can be used over a -55°C to +130°C range with a 2.5V to 5.5V supply voltage. For applications with a supply voltage of 1.8V, the MAX6613 can be used over a +25°C to +130°C temperature range.

The MAX6629-MAX6632 are local digital temperature sensors with an SPI™-compatible serial interface. The temperature is converted to a 12-bit + sign word with a resolution of 0.0625°C/LSB. An extended temperature range provides useful readings up to +150°C. These sensors are 3-wire serial interface SPI compatible, allowing the MAX6629-MAX6632 to be readily connected to a variety of microcontrollers (µCs). The MAX6629-MAX6632 are read-only devices, simplifying their use in systems where only temperature data is required. All four digital temperature sensors require very little supply current, making them ideal for portable systems. The MAX6631/MAX6632 perform a temperature-to-digital conversion once every 8s and require minimal average supply current, 32µA (typ). The MAX6629/MAX6630 perform a conversion once every 0.5s and require only 200µA (typ) supply current. Any of these temperature sensors can perform conversions more often--up to approximately four conversions per second by reading the conversion results more often.

The DS3231M is a low-cost, extremely accurate I2C real-time clock (RTC). The device incorporates a battery input and maintains accurate timekeeping when main power to the device is interrupted. The integration of the microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) resona- tor enhances the long-term accuracy of the device and reduces the piece-part count in a manufacturing line. The DS3231M is available in the same footprint as the popular DS3231 RTC. The RTC maintains seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The date at the end of the month is automatically adjusted for months with fewer than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with an AM/PM indicator. Two programmable time-of- day alarms and a 1Hz output are provided. Address and data are transferred serially through an I2C bidirectional bus. DS3231M is a low-cost, high-precision I2C real-time clock (RTC). The device includes a battery input to maintain accurate timekeeping when the main power is disconnected. Integrated microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) improve the device's long-term accuracy and reduce the number of components on the production line. DS3231M uses the same device package as the popular DS3231�RTC.

This product is a thermometer and thermostat. It can measure temperature, including range, resolution, power supply voltage, temperature conversion time, data reading and writing mode, application scenarios.

The DS1624 is a digital thermometer and memory chip that measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C. It provides 13-bit temperature readings and has 256 bytes of E2 memory for storing information. The temperature data can be read and written via a 2-wire serial interface. It is suitable for applications such as temperature-compensated crystal oscillators.

The DS620 digital thermometer and thermostat provides low-voltage temperature measurements with ±0.5°C accuracy from 0°C to +70°C and an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It communicates over a 2-wire digital interface and is multidroppable for distributed-sensing applications. The DS620 has thermostat functionality with user-defined thresholds stored in EEPROM registers, and it can be configured for standalone thermostat operation. The programmable output (PO) pin serves as the thermostat output and can also function as an active-low control for peripheral devices.

The MAX6657/MAX6658/MAX6659 are precise, two-channel digital temperature sensors. Each accurately measures the temperature of its own die and one remote PN junction, and reports the temperature in digital form on a 2-wire serial interface. The remote junction can be a diode-connected transistor like the low-cost NPN type 2N3904 or 2N3906 PNP type. The remote junction can also be a common-collector PNP, such as a substrate PNP of a microprocessor. The 2-wire serial interface accepts standard System Management Bus (SMBus™) commands such as Write Byte, Read Byte, Send Byte, and Receive Byte to read the temperature data and program the alarm thresholds and conversion rate. The MAX6657/MAX6658/MAX6659 can function autonomously with a programmable conversion rate, which allows the control of supply current and temperature update rate to match system needs. For conversion rates of 4Hz or less, the temperature is represented in extended mode as 10 bits + sign with a resolution of 0.125°C. When the conversion rate is faster than 4Hz, output data is 7 bits + sign with a resolution of 1°C. The MAX6657/MAX6658/MAX6659 also include an SMBus timeout feature to enhance system reliability. Remote accuracy is ±1°C between +60°C and +100°C with no calibration needed. The MAX6657 measures temperatures from 0°C to +125°C and the MAX6658/MAX6659 from -55°C to +125°C. The MAX6659 has the added benefit of being able to select one of three addresses through an address pin.

The MAX6605 precision, low-power, analog output temperature sensor is available in a 5-pin SC70 package. The device has a +2.7V to +5.5V supply voltage range and 10µA supply current over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range. For the -40°C to +105°C temperature range, the supply voltage can go as low as +2.4V. Accuracy is ±0.75°C at TA = +25°C and ±3°C from 0°C to +70°C. The MAX6605 output voltage is dependent on its die temperature and has a slope of 11.9mV/°C and an offset of 744mV at 0°C. The output typically shows only +0.4°C of nonlinearity over the -20°C to +85°C temperature range.
