Dallas DS1065 EconOscillator/Divider User Manual
The DS1065 is a fixed‑frequency oscillator that requires no external components. It provides output frequencies from roughly 30 kHz to 100 MHz using an on‑chip programmable prescaler (1, 2, 4) and a programmable divider (1‑513). The device is supplied in a TO‑92 (3‑lead) package and uses a single 5 V supply.
Programming is performed via the 1‑Wire™ protocol on the dual‑purpose I/O pin. By applying a pull‑up resistor before power‑up the part enters programming mode, allowing the MUX and DIV registers to be written. After programming, the device returns to normal operation when powered down and the pull‑up is removed.

Questions answered in these manuals
What is the default value of the programmable divider register?
The default DIV register value is 0, which results in a divider of two.
What are the absolute maximum ratings for the supply pin voltage?
The voltage on any pin relative to ground may not exceed –1.0 V to +7.0 V.
How do you enter programming mode on the DS1065?
Connect a pull‑up resistor of about 5 kΩ to the IN/OUT pin before powering up; this pulls the pin above V_IH and puts the device into programming mode.
