This technical note describes the Agilent Genomic DNA Enzymatic Labeling Kit, for labeling genomic DNA for studies using comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) microarrays. The new kit is produced in Agilent Stratagene’s ISO 13485-compliant manufacturing environment. While prior kits have proven to be reliable and of high quality, Agilent continues to guarantee the quality, reliability, and availability of this kit to ensure the best possible performance in a CGH study.
Agilent has introduced the Genomic DNA Enzymatic Labeling Kit (model 5190-0449) to replace the Genomic DNA Labeling PLUS Kit. This new kit is produced in an ISO 13485-compliant manufacturing environment to enhance product stability and reproducibility for comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) microarray studies.
A study was conducted to demonstrate that the new kit provides equivalent quality data to the previous kit. Comparisons of QC metrics, including DLRSpread, signal-to-noise ratios, and Area Under the ROC Curve, showed that both kits yield excellent and equivalent results. The study also confirmed the new kit's ability to differentiate single copy number changes and detect copy number variations, such as homozygous deletions, consistent with the previous kit.
