The Alien QRT-PCR Inhibitor Alert is an exogenous reference mRNA designed to detect inhibition in nucleic acid templates extracted from various biological samples. It serves as a universal external control that is sensitive to common inhibitors such as phenol, ethanol, guanidine, heparin, and EDTA.
It is designed for use in both one-step (single-tube) and two-step (two-tube) QRT-PCR assays that employ SYBR Green dye.
The standard curve provides a dynamic range spanning eight orders of magnitude.
