About this manual

The DS2120 is a low-voltage differential (LVD) terminator designed for Ultra3, Ultra160, Ultra320, and Ultra2 (LVD only) SCSI buses. It provides termination for nine signal line pairs using zero-temperature coefficient resistors with 5% tolerance. The device features auto-selection of LVD termination and low power-down capacitance.

Frequently asked questions

What SCSI standards is the DS2120 compliant with?

The device is fully compliant with Ultra3, Ultral60, Ultra320, and Ultra2 (LVD only) SCSI.

How many terminators are needed for a wide SCSI bus?

Three DS2120 terminators are required to terminate a wide SCSI bus.

What happens if single-ended or high-voltage differential devices are connected?

The device automatically disconnects from the bus by sensing voltage on the DIFFSENS line.
