This document describes the features of the M95040, M95020, and M95010 series products, including compatibility with the SPI bus serial interface, high-speed clock, adjustable size read-only EEPROM area, etc.
The M95040, M95020, and M95010 are electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM) devices accessed via a high-speed SPI-compatible bus. The family includes 4 Kbit, 2 Kbit, and 1 Kbit variants, respectively, compatible with positive clock SPI modes. They feature a single supply voltage ranging from 1.8V to 5.5V depending on the specific model suffix, a 10MHz clock rate, and a 5ms write time. The devices support BYTE and PAGE WRITE operations (up to 16 Bytes) using a self-timed programming cycle.
| Capacity (M95040) | 4 Kbit (512 x 8) |

| Capacity (M95020) | 2 Kbit |
| Capacity (M95010) | 1 Kbit |
| Clock Rate | 10MHz |
| Write Time | 5ms |
| Supply Voltage (M950x0) | 4.5 to 5.5V |
| Supply Voltage (M950x0-W) | 2.5 to 5.5V |
| Supply Voltage (M950x0-R) | 1.8 to 5.5V |

These devices can be driven by a microcontroller with its SPI peripheral running in either CPOL=0, CPHA=0 or CPOL=1, CPHA=1 modes.
The device is selected when the Chip Select (S) signal is taken Low.
