Hamamatsu R6350-R6358 Compact PMT Datasheet

This document introduces the features and characteristics of HAMAMATSU's new compact side-on PMT series. The series has a wider X-axis anode uniformity, which improves detection efficiency and makes optical alignment easier. The R6357 is a unique addition, it is a new meshless multialkali compact PMT with over 100mA/W photocathode radiant sensitivity.

About this manual

This document introduces Hamamatsu's new line of compact 1/2-inch diameter, 9-stage side-on photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). The series features an improved electro-optic construction that provides greater X-axis anode uniformity full width half maximum (FWHM), resulting in a wider detection efficiency "sweet spot" and easier optical alignment. A unique addition to the series is the R6357, a meshless multialkali compact PMT with over 100mA/W photocathode radiant sensitivity.

Frequently asked questions

What are the applications for these PMTs?

Applications include Hi Emission Spectroscopy, Environmental Monitoring, Fluorescence Immunoassay, Chemiluminescence Immunoassay, Hygiene Monitor, X-ray Phototimer, Fluorometer, and Microscope.

What is the unique feature of model R6357?

The R6357 is a meshless multialkali compact PMT that achieves higher photocathode sensitivity by eliminating the mesh in front of the photocathode.

What is the operating temperature range?

The typical operating temperature range for these tubes is from -80 to +50 degrees Celsius.
