The MX98205 is a single‑chip Ethernet switch controller that provides four 10/100 Mbps full/half‑duplex ports. It supports both Store‑and‑Forward and Cut‑Through switching schemes, IEEE802.3x flow control, and an expansion bus up to 1.0 Gbps at 66 MHz.
Designed for easy system integration, the controller offers 8‑bit Tx, Uni‑Rx and Broad‑Rx buses, a 2 MB SRAM interface, and can be cascaded with another MX98205 to create an 8‑port switch without additional logic. It is supplied in a 208‑pin POFP package.
