TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SN65NLVD200/SN65MLVD202/SN65MLVD204/SN65MLVD205 Manual

The SN65MLVD200, SN65MLVD202, SN65MLVD204, and SN65MLVD205 are low-voltage differential 30-ohm line drivers and receivers for signaling rates up to 100 Mbps. These devices meet or exceed the current revision of the M-LVDS standard TIA/EIA-899 for Multipoint Data Interchange.

About this manual

The SN65MLVD series are low‑voltage differential line drivers and receivers that comply with the proposed multipoint LVDS (M‑LVDS) standard (TIA/EIA‑899). They support signaling rates up to 100 Mbps, operate from a single 3.3 V supply, and are designed for half‑duplex or multipoint baseband data transmission over PCB traces, backplanes, or cables.

The datasheet details absolute maximum ratings, recommended operating conditions, and detailed electrical characteristics for both drivers and receivers, including propagation delays, jitter, and power dissipation. Two receiver types are offered: Type‑1 with near‑zero threshold and hysteresis, and Type‑2 with an offset threshold for open‑circuit detection.
