The TIL194, TIL195 and TIL196 are AC‑input optocouplers that use a gallium‑arsenide infrared LED and a silicon N‑PN phototransistor per channel. TIL194 offers one channel in a 4‑pin package, TIL195 two channels in an 8‑pin package, and TIL196 four channels in a 16‑pin package. They provide high‑voltage electrical isolation up to 3.535 kV peak (2.5 kV rms) and are UL listed.
Key specifications include a minimum current‑transfer ratio of 20 % (with options for 50 % and 100 % devices), collector‑emitter breakdown voltage of 35 V, and switching rise/fall times around 1 µs. The datasheet also contains mechanical dimensions, absolute maximum ratings, and TI’s standard warranty and safety notices, emphasizing that the devices are not intended for life‑support or critical applications.
