The Microchip Technology Inc. 93LC46AX/BX are 1K- bit, low voltage serial Electrically Erasable PROMs. The device memory is configured as x8 (93LC46A) or x16 bits (93LC46B). Advanced CMOS technology makes these devices ideal for low power nonvolatile memory applications. The 93LC46AX/BX is available in standard 8-pin DIP, 8-pin surface mount SOIC, and TSSOP packages. The 93LC46AX/BX are offered only in a 150-mil SOIC package.
The 93LC46A/B devices are 1‑Kbit Microwire serial EEPROMs offering 128 × 8‑bit (A) or 64 × 16‑bit (B) memory organization. They operate from a single supply as low as 2.5 V, consume about 1 mA active current and 1 µA standby current, and provide up to 1 M write/erase cycles with data retention exceeding 200 years. Packages include 8‑pin PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP, available for commercial (0 °C‑70 °C) and industrial (‑40 °C‑85 °C) temperature ranges.
Electrical characteristics, pin functions, timing diagrams and ordering information are detailed in the following sections. The device includes self‑timed erase/write cycles, optional erase‑all, write‑all commands, and READY/BUSY status on the DO pin for programming monitoring.
