About this manual

The AD8522 provides two 12‑bit DAC channels in a 14‑pin DIP or SO‑14 package. It operates from a single +5 V supply, includes an on‑chip 2.5 V reference, and delivers buffered voltage outputs up to 4.095 V full‑scale with ±5 mA drive capability. The device features a three‑wire serial digital interface (SDI, CLK, CS) and load‑strobe pins for easy daisy‑chaining and software control.

Typical applications include digitally controlled calibration, process control, computer peripherals, portable instrumentation, and cellular base‑station voltage adjustment. The datasheet details electrical characteristics, absolute maximum ratings, pin descriptions, timing diagrams, and performance graphs for output swing, noise, and power‑supply rejection.
