This document describes the Siemens SLx 24C32 32 Kbit (4096 × 8 bit) Serial CMOS-EEPROM, which features I2C synchronous 2-wire bus and a license to use the components in the I2C system conforming to the Philips I2C specifications.
The SLx 24C32 is a 32 Kbit (4096 × 8 bit) serial EEPROM organized into 128 pages of 32 bytes each. It features a low‑power CMOS design, three chip‑select pins for addressing up to eight devices on the I²C bus, and built‑in page‑write capability.
The device operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, supports clock frequencies up to 400 kHz, and is available in industrial (‑40 °C to +85 °C) and automotive (‑40 °C to +125 °C) temperature ranges. Typical programming time for up to 32 bytes is 5 ms, endurance is 10⁶ erase/write cycles, and data retention is specified for 40 years.
