About this manual

The M93C86 is a 16‑Kbit (8‑bit or 16‑bit wide) MICROWIRE® serial EEPROM offering industry‑standard bus operation, single‑supply voltage options, and self‑timed programming with auto‑erase. It supports both byte (x8) and word (x16) organization selectable via the ORG pin, and provides up to 1 MHz or 2 MHz clock rates with corresponding write times of 10 ms and 5 ms.

Key features include more than 1 million erase/write cycles, over 40 years of data retention, enhanced ESD/latch‑up behavior, and power‑on data protection that disables write operations until the supply voltage reaches a valid level.
