About this manual

The CD54/74HC123, CD54/74HCT123, CD74HC423 and CD74HCT423 are high‑speed CMOS logic ICs that provide dual retriggerable monostable multivibrator functions with independent reset inputs. They support both leading‑edge and trailing‑edge triggering, buffered Q and Q̅ outputs, and a wide range of output‑pulse widths controlled by external resistor (Rx) and capacitor (Cx) values.

The devices operate over a temperature range of –55 °C to 125 °C and are supplied from 2 V‑6 V (HC types) or 4.5 V‑5.5 V (HCT types). Electrical specifications include typical propagation delays of 50‑300 ns, output‑pulse widths from a few microseconds up to tens of microseconds, and low power consumption compared with LSTTL logic families. Package options include 16‑lead CERDIP, PDIP and SOIC.
