This document describes the 8-bit MCU models ST72E311 and ST72T311, which have 8 to 16K bytes of OTP/EPROM user program memory and 384 to 512 bytes of data RAM. It also provides multiple functionality bidirectional I/O lines, reset options, run and power saving modes, timers, serial interfaces, ADC, and more.
The ST72E311 and ST72T311 are 8‑bit HCMOS microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics. They feature 8‑16 KB of OTP/EPROM program memory, 384‑512 bytes of RAM, an 8‑channel ADC, watchdog timer, SPI, SCI, two 16‑bit timers and up to 44 multifunction I/O pins. The devices operate from a 3.0 V to 5.5 V supply and support a 16 MHz oscillator.
The datasheet provides detailed pin descriptions for QFP, DIP and shrink packages, memory maps, option byte settings, clock and reset architecture, power‑saving modes, and full electrical characteristics. Revision history and ordering information are also included.
| Program Memory | 8 KB to 16 KB OTP/EPROM |
|---|---|
| Data RAM | 384 bytes to 512 bytes (including 256 bytes stack) |
| CPU Frequency | 8 MHz max (16 MHz oscillator) |
| Temperature Range | -40 °C to +125 °C |
| I/O Lines | 44 lines (ST72T311N) or 32 lines (ST72T311J) |
The ST72T311N version provides 44 multifunctional I/O pins.
The maximum CPU frequency is 8 MHz (with a 16 MHz oscillator).
It has between 8 KB and 16 KB of OTP/EPROM program memory.
