About this manual

The ADS1174 (quad) and ADS1178 (octal) are 16‑bit delta‑sigma analog‑to‑digital converters that support simultaneous sampling of four or eight channels. They offer selectable high‑speed (52 kSPS, 31 mW per channel) and low‑power (10 kSPS, 7 mW per channel) operating modes, SPI or Frame‑Sync serial interfaces, and operate over an extended temperature range.

The devices are supplied in an HTQFP‑64 PowerPAD™ package and include detailed electrical characteristics, pin assignments, and timing specifications for both SPI and Frame‑Sync protocols. The datasheet also contains layout recommendations for the PowerPAD thermal pad and an important notice regarding product warranties and usage restrictions.
