The TPS2211 is a single-slot PC card power interface switch that is compatible with various PCMCIA controllers. It features fully integrated VCC and Vpp switching, low rDS(on) (90-mΩ 5-V VCC switch and 3.3-V VCC switch), meets PC card standards, and provides short-circuit and thermal protection.
The TPS2211 provides an integrated power‑management solution for a single PC Card, combining discrete MOSFETs, logic, current limiting and thermal protection in one LinBiCMOS™ IC. It distributes 3.3‑V, 5‑V and/or 12‑V card power and is compatible with many PCMCIA controllers, reducing component count and improving reliability.
The device is offered in a 16‑pin SSOP (DB) package, available taped and reeled. It operates from –40 °C to 85 °C, supports up to 150 mA output current per card, and includes short‑circuit and thermal protection that signals over‑current conditions via a logic output.
