This document describes the features and characteristics of flat flexible cables with pitches of 0.5mm, 1.0mm, and 1.25mm. These cables consist of flat tin plated copper conductors insulated between Polyester based tapes, with optional reinforcement tapes for connector compatibility. The document also provides general characteristics of standard products, such as the number of conductors, cable width, conductor width, insulated length, etc.
Multicomp flat flexible cables are tin‑plated copper conductors insulated with polyester tapes. They are offered in 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.25 mm pitch sizes and can be reinforced with standard polyester tapes (blue or red) for reliable connector insertion. The overall length is 210 mm and the cable can be stripped on both sides with reinforcement on the same side.
These cables are used for board‑to‑board interconnections in many devices such as printers, laptops, LCD displays, car radios and satellite receivers. They provide a low‑profile, high‑density solution with good electromagnetic protection (transfer impedance as low as 0.00122 Ω/m, rated Excellent) and a flexlife of up to 30,000 cycles.

The cable is offered in 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.25 mm pitch sizes.
Standard polyester reinforcement tapes in blue or red are used for termination with connectors.
The cable has an overall length of 210 mm.
A transfer impedance of 0.00122 Ω/m is rated as Excellent.
