The LM2750 is a low-noise switched-capacitor doubler from National that produces a 5.0V output voltage. It can supply up to 120mA of output current over a 2.9V to 5.6V input range, as well as up to 40mA of output current when the input voltage is as low as 2.7V.
The LM2750 is a regulated switched‑capacitor doubler that provides a low‑noise 5 V output. It operates from a wide input range (2.7 V‑5.6 V) and requires only three external ceramic capacitors – an input, an output, and a flying capacitor – making it ideal for space‑constrained, battery‑powered applications.
Key features include a fixed 1.7 MHz switching frequency, soft‑start circuitry, active‑low shutdown, and high efficiency (85 % peak, 70 % average). The device is offered in a 10‑pin leadless leadframe package (LLP) measuring 3 mm × 3 mm and supports both a fixed 5.0 V output (LM2750‑5.0) and an adjustable output version (LM2750‑ADJ).
| Output Voltage Options | Fixed 5.0 V or adjustable |
|---|---|
| Maximum Output Current (5.0 V version) | 120 mA (2.9 V – 5.6 V input) |
| Maximum Output Current (adjustable version) | 40 mA (2.7 V – 2.9 V input) |
| Input Voltage Range | 2.7 V – 5.6 V |
| Peak Efficiency | 85 % |
| Average Efficiency | 70 % |
| Shutdown Supply Current | < 2 µA |
| Package | 10‑Pin Leadless Leadframe Package (LLP), 3 mm × 3 mm |
| PWM Upper Frequency Recommendation | up to 500 Hz (recommended) |
The LM2750‑5.0 can deliver up to 120 mA of output current when the input voltage is between 2.9 V and 5.6 V.
Only three external components are needed: one input capacitor, one output capacitor, and one flying capacitor.
In shutdown mode the LM2750 draws less than 2 µA of supply current.
