This document is the technical data of MAX3275/MAX3277 transimpedance amplifiers, introduces the features and characteristics of the product, including the maximum data rate of 2.125Gbps, 300nA input-referred noise at 2.1GHz bandwidth (BW) with 0.85pF input capacitance, 2mAP-P AC input overload.
The MAX3275 and MAX3277 are compact transimpedance amplifiers designed for dual‑rate fibre‑channel and Gigabit Ethernet optical receivers. Both devices operate from a single 3.3 V supply, consume 83 mW, and feature 300 nA input‑referred noise at 2.1 GHz bandwidth. The MAX3277 has inverted output polarity for flexible packaging, while the MAX3275 retains the standard polarity.
The datasheet provides absolute maximum ratings, detailed electrical characteristics, pad descriptions, typical application circuits, and layout recommendations for TO‑46 or TO‑56 header assemblies. It also includes optical power relation formulas and guidance on minimizing noise through proper photodiode selection and filter design.
