About this manual

The TVP5150A video decoder from Texas Instruments converts NTSC, PAL and SECAM analog video signals to 8‑bit ITU‑R BT.656 format. It is offered in a 32‑pin TQFP package and operates from a single 14.31818 MHz crystal, supporting both discrete and embedded sync outputs.

The device features a 9‑bit ADC, adaptive 4‑line comb filtering, and a programmable I²C interface for brightness, contrast, hue, saturation and sharpness adjustments. Power‑down mode draws less than 1 mW, making it suitable for battery‑powered applications.
