About this manual

The AD5821 is a single‑channel 10‑bit digital‑to‑analog converter that provides up to 120 mA of current‑sink capability. It operates from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply and is controlled via a 2‑wire I²C‑compatible serial interface (address 0x18). The device includes an internal reference, power‑on reset, and a power‑down mode that reduces current consumption to 0.5 µA.

Designed for both consumer (camera autofocus, image stabilization, optical zoom) and industrial applications (heater, fan, valve, and light controls), the AD5821 offers guaranteed monotonicity, low noise, and a range of protection features such as ESD sensitivity and XSHUTDOWN power‑down control.
