This document describes a dual-mode TV tuner IC for satellite and terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB)/FM reception. The chip features low power consumption, low noise figure, wide dynamic range, etc., making it ideal for portable applications such as mobile phones, notebook PCs, and PDAs.
The MTV330 is a highly integrated dual‑mode TV tuner IC that supports satellite and terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (SDMB/TDMB) as well as FM. It covers the full Band‑III (174‑245 MHz) for TDMB, the 88‑108 MHz FM band, and the 2605‑2655 MHz range for SDMB, using a low‑IF architecture that eliminates external SAW filters.
Designed for portable applications such as mobile phones, notebook PCs, and PDAs, the device features a 48‑QFN (6 × 6 mm) package, an industry‑standard serial bus interface, on‑chip low‑phase‑noise VCO, and low power consumption (140 mW SDMB, 100 mW TDMB).
| SDMB frequency range | 2605 – 2655 MHz |
|---|---|
| FM frequency range | 88 – 108 MHz |
| Low noise figure (SDMB) | 4 dB |
| Low noise figure (TDMB) | 1.5 dB |
| Dynamic range (SDMB) | -98 to 0 dBm |
| Dynamic range (TDMB) | -102 to -10 dBm |
| Power consumption (SDMB) | 140 mW |
| Power consumption (TDMB) | 100 mW |
| Package | 48‑QFN (6 × 6 mm) |
| PLL frequency resolution | 36 Hz |
| Serial bus interface | Industry‑standard serial bus (I²C compatible) |
Typical power consumption is 140 mW in SDMB mode and 100 mW in TDMB mode.
The device is supplied in a 48‑QFN package measuring approximately 6 × 6 mm.
Yes, it includes an on‑chip low‑phase‑noise VCO that eliminates the need for external tank circuits.
