About this manual

The AD1890 and AD1891 SamplePort™ asynchronous sample‑rate converters (ASRCs) convert between independent input and output sample clocks ranging from 8 kHz to 56 kHz. They use on‑chip FIR filtering with up to 4 million 22‑bit coefficients, offering low distortion (‑106 dB THD+N at 1 kHz) and selectable fast or slow settling modes for jitter rejection.

The devices are supplied in 28‑lead plastic DIP and PLCC packages, operate from a +5 V supply, and include extensive pin‑configurable options such as group‑delay mode, clock polarity, and mute control. Detailed specifications, pin lists, timing diagrams, and mechanical dimensions are provided for system integration.
